As the days grow shorter and the kids are back-to-school, it’s easy to fall into the mindset that summer is coming to an end. However, here’s a secret: the summer spirit doesn’t have to fade away just because the school bells are ringing again. In fact, one of the best ways to keep the summer vibes alive is by enjoying the stunning beauty of nature, especially a picturesque lake, with exhilarating boat and jet ski rentals.

1. Seize the Moment: The end of summer doesn’t mean the end of adventure. In fact, it’s the perfect time to take advantage of the calm waters and the milder weather that early fall often brings. Grab your friends, your family, or even just yourself, and head to the nearest lake for an unforgettable day on the water.

2. Unplug and Reconnect: School and work can keep us glued to our screens, but there’s no better way to escape the digital world than by immersing yourself in the soothing embrace of our serene lake – Lake St. Clair. Renting a boat or a jet ski allows you to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle and reconnect with the natural world around you.

3. Thrill and Relaxation: Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or simply looking to unwind, lake adventures offer the best of both worlds. Jet skiing at high speeds across the water’s surface can get your heart racing, while leisurely cruising on a pontoon boat allows you to savour every gentle ripple and admire the changing colours of the trees lining the shore.Be sure ot look for our Fall Colours Cruise that starts on the first day of Autumn.

4. Extend the Summer Aesthetics: The beauty of a late summer or early fall day is unparalleled. The way the sunlight dances on the water, the vibrant hues of the changing leaves – these are scenes that should be embraced, not missed. Renting a boat or jet ski provides a front-row seat to these captivating visuals, allowing you to extend the aesthetics of summer well into the autumn months. Early morning fishing expeditions with a friend are especially nice in the late summer.

5. Create Lasting Memories: Think about the stories you’ll have to share when you head back to school or work. Instead of dwelling on the end of summer, you’ll be reliving the exhilaration of speeding across the lake, the laughter shared with loved ones, and the breathtaking sunsets that painted the sky in hues of orange and pink.

6. Plan an On-Water Picnic: Combining the joys of being on the water with a picnic is a match made in heaven. Pack your favourite snacks and refreshments, anchor your boat in a scenic spot, or pause your jet ski near a tranquil cove, and indulge in a feast that nourishes both your body and soul. Or better yet, catch some fish to take home and enjoy the bounty of our lake and cook up the days fresh catch fro friends and family.

7. Make it a Tradition: Why let the end of summer mark the end of your lake adventures? Consider making this an annual tradition – a way to celebrate the transition from summer to fall while keeping the spirit of both seasons alive. For years our family has ended our summer with homemade lobster rolls. Everyone gets a lobster, they shell it, we warm the lobster meat gently with butter and herbs and then pile it onto buttered toasted hot dog rolls and wrap them in foil and head for the boat. The kids all look forward to it, it’s indulgent and it’s a fun way to say…”summer, we know you haven’t left yet” in September.

So, don’t let the school year starting or the calendar turning to fall cast a shadow on your love for summer. Embrace the extended summer vibes by venturing out onto the lake with boat and jet ski rentals. There’s a world of natural beauty, adventure, and relaxation waiting for you on the water – and who says summer can’t continue to be the most wonderful time of the year?
